The proportions & underlying geometry of the Buddhas are kept true to the original proportions because they are the ones that are proven over the centururies as the ones that work. The Tibetan proportions are what qualify it in their culture as a work of sacred art. The grid beneath the form means it's closer to a Piet Mondriam & Early Modernism than an organic, psychedelic pic. I am currently trying to do the practises purely, simply because I want to attain enlightenment ASAP for all our sakes, & any interpretation or deviation from my impure, ignorant & stupid head will do nothing other then cheapen, vulgarize & lower the whole vibe.
It is horrendously arrogant for ordinary beings to assume that they can improve on the wisdom & beauty of enlightened beings! If this was so, Buddhists would be seeking enlightenment not from Budddha but Fred Bloggs. There is a place for it if you want to make variations, & thay can have great merit, but that is not pure Dharma. It is either pure or not. Only the pure will get you to full enlightenment as it is the only method to fully control our mind. I'm not hanging about. It's not as if we're asking for a lot, only the permanent cessation of all suffering & pure & everlasting happiness of all sentient beings without exception! i don't believe there is any higher or more worthy cause for one to expend their artistic energies if they can. so i'm painting myself into the ground for all you lot & your circles, 'cos only when I've solved all my problems will I be able to help everyone else solve theirs,
So it looks as though, my fellow living beings, I'm dedicating what's left of my life to the service of all sentient beings, persaps when I'm 80 I might paint something decent. It's in my interests too to paint Buddhas till I finally keel over. The last thought in your head at the moment of death determins where you will go, so if I cintinue to specialize in virtuous subjects, I expect my moment of transmission will be smooth & euphoric, simply dissolving into the Dharmakaya of whatever Deity I happen to be working on! Can't imagine Tracy Emin will be similarly comforted by her bed & tent & jars of used tampax! She'll have to leave all her money too, I've not sold a thing, but the spiritual investment of giving prolific amounts of Dharma art will be a fowm of wealth I WILL be able to take with me. Spiritual stuff is the only stuff u can take. Furthermore, apparantley, painting Buddhas makes you better looking in future lives (so why isn't Tracy Emin painting them like mad?) - & all this I can pass onto the viewer.
when the viewer sees my Buddhas I am giving them Dharma, which is infinitelly more valuable than any material gift, as material things benifit you only in this life, wheras Dharma creates happiness in this & all the countless future lives roo, So these pics create the cause for your happiness for ever & ever. & the only reward I've had in return is the odd complementary email-bou then I'm saving my merit for internal realisations, more happiness later on. There is no point in living except to give your life (for spiritual practinc & to benifit others! Not wasting it stupidly by getting killed in one of America's stupid wars or spend it harming other living beings for sport!)
If you're sick of suffering, or more you can't stand all the suffering in the world, you yourself can free all nbeings from their suffering when you attain enlightenment. The good news is, if you know pure spiritual practicioners (Sangha), I can do most of the hard work for you & when I attain enlightenment, you will be able to easily, through me! That's how it works! Love & compassion benifit everyone who it touches.
May the positive energies ignited by the spiritual comminity who met me through the work continue to blossom, illuminate & mushroom within the souls of all sentient beings & may all happiness & joy be fulfilled, & all the wishes of all living beings come true quickly & 4eva & eva! At your service! ,
So please don't give me grief if I get on your nerves. I don't mean any harm!
